Hike at Rincon de la Vieja National Park & Oropendola Waterfall

$223.00

During this unique adventure, participants will discover the magnificent beauty of the world-famous Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park. This huge park protects 14,087 hectares with widely ranging elevations range from 980 to 1987 meters (3215 to 6519 feet). Habitats are diverse and include cloud forest, tropical rainforest-upland, tropical rainforest-lowland and tropical dry forest.

Upon arrival to the Park participants will walk “Las Pailas” trail and the famous “Volcancito” (small volcano) trail. There is also a possibility to visit one of the splendid waterfalls. Inside the Park, participants will cross rivers, hills and enjoy beautiful views all the way.
This National Park protects important watersheds, since the Rincon de la Vieja massif forms part of the watershed, between the Caribbean and Pacific, in the northwestern part of the country. Here are born 32 rivers and it has the largest population in the wild of our National Flower, the “Guaria Morada”.

Oropendola Waterfall plunges an impressive 82 feet (25 meters) to a sparkling turquoise pool. The beautiful lush canyon of the Rio Blanco (White River) makes a picturesque tropical oasis perfect for a refreshing swim.

After this exhilarating hiking experience, participants will be enjoying a delicious lunch before going back to their hotel.
